This is a world where the people are so dense that they actually believe in something simply called "The Chosen" who will save them all from the Hitler-like douchebags called the Desians. This "Chosen" must go on a journey across the world and awaken the angel within her so that, maybe, the world can regenerate itself. Ignore the fact that there were other Chosen that got murdered, nod, and just go along with it.

...yeah, on second thought, these people are complete fucking idiots if they think one person can do all this. Hence why her best friend ain't having any of this shit...but goes along anyway.
