The spiritual path involves questioning society's beliefs and practices, and especially the validity of the workings of your own mind. What we think and believe to be true, is very often far from the truth, even if that opinion is held by the masses of society. The automatic consequence of that falsehood then, or even of limited relative truths, is what creates all of our suffering, individually and collectively. So if you're tired of suffering, no matter what the shape or form of that suffering might be, seek truth, live that truth, and be that truth.

About Me:
At the age of 26 there was a profound spiritual awakening over the course of about 5 days. It was a period of intense surrender and looking-within for truth, where there was revelation after revelation, epiphany after epiphany, insight after insight, (it was all being written down in point form), and then 6 pages of written "Truths of Life" later a point was reached where there was a feeling of "I'm going to die." No, not physical death, but the very essence of what we believe is "me"; the thinkingness of the mind. It felt like the very core of my existence was about to fall into a void of utter nothingness. And it was frightening.
Unfortunately, because of an ignorance of the topic at the time, and because of the tenacity of the ego/mind, "I" feared to follow through with that death, and thus, Enlightenment wasn't permanent.
Now the ego thinks "I know" and the current life process is of letting that notion go.
The way "I" saw, viewed, perceived and interacted with the world was suddenly and radically different than it was prior to all of that, and life now primarily consists of practicing, living, becoming, being and sharing the following:
Spirituality, Universal Truth, Nonduality, Advaita, Enlightenment, Awareness, Consciousness, Buddhism, Zen, Hinduism, Taoism, Christianity, Sufism, Love, Peace, Holistic Health, Nutrition, Placebo Effect, Silent Mind, Biology, Cells, Quantum Physics, Philosophy, Psychiatry, Psychology, Psychotherapy, Neuroscience, Forgiveness, Meditation, Prayer, Surrender, Contemplation, Self-Inquiry, and so on.
In short, Love/Peace/Truth. :)
"Those who hasten towards it dare not enter, fearing to hurtle down through the void with nothing to cling to or to stay their fall. So they look to the brink and retreat." - Huang Po, 9th Century Zen Master http://bit.ly/KkzJp
