About Me:

Southern swag, with a lyrical twist reminiscent of the Northeast, it's "The New Era". South Florida based rap group Goons United by the New School, is blasting away the stigma that all young Southern rappers only make dance songs. Representing the new generation of rap listeners and heavily equipped with talent, the only shots being fired by the dynamic quartet are lyrical bullets. Their music is diverse; catering to the ladies, the teenagers and adults. If you ask Young A.C., T-Stunna, Pebo Florida, and Jay Balla, they'll tell you, "we see ourselves as one of the best rap groups in hip-hop right now." It's time for new energy and the members of Goons United by the New School are on a mission to "revitalize the game." Their music is a representation of their struggle, a reality they know as life growing up in the streets of "Deepside" Broward County. Riding the wave of constant evolution that is Hip-Hop, while "taking it back to when lyrics were respected" and paying homage to their predecessors in the rap game. Influenced by rappers Young Jeezy, Plies, Soulja Slim and Outkast their distinctively South Florida rhyming style with a lyrical twist that's so Northeast makes them a blast from the past with the swag of the new school. Young A.C., of Pompano Beach, FL got his start in music in the 5th grade. "I've always liked music from rap to country and just about everything in between". His appreciation for music led him to write his first song, which he performed, for his peers in the school cafeteria. Young A.C. immediately went from the school cafeteria to the recording booth; from recording booths to touring with well known South Florida MC's like J.T.Money, Trick Daddy, Jacki-O and Trina. Like Young A.C., Jay Balla, of Fort Lauderdale, FL also had a young start. His first solo single 'Swang' played on underground radio stations throughout Broward County. It wasn't long before his name buzzed through the streets of South Florida. By a chance meeting at an event, Young A.C. and Jay Balla realized their talent together could shake up the industry. T-Stunna, of Lauderhill, FL remembers receiving his first karaoke tape player at the age of four during Christmas. T-Stunna would play his favorite tapes for hours and make childhood rhymes. From the four-year-old imitating rappers with his Karaoke machine to winning rap battles after school on the stoop of his grandmother's porch, it wasn't long before he and his peers realized Jay Balla's talent for rhyming. Pebo-Florida, of Lauderhill, FL was born and raised in the South but credits a lot of his rhyming skills to the influences of a lot of East Coast artists. Pebo-Florida gained his love for music watching others participate in battles. He finally took a chance and battled none other than Young A.C., after the match up they both realized they complimented each other, Young A.C. respected his tenacity and a friendship was built.

All united by their talent and love for making music, Young A.C. T-Stunna, Pebo-Florida and Jay Balla are Goons United by the New School.
