The biblical order of salvation is as follows:

1. UNCONDITIONAL ELECTION/PREDESTINATION of the sinner by God.

2. a) THE OUTWARD, OR GENERAL CALL, by men, through the preaching of the gospel of Jesus Christ; b) THE INWARD, OR EFFECTUAL CALL, by the Holy Spirit. Only the elect will hear and respond to this inward call.

3. REGENERATION: the nature of the elect sinner is changed by God, the Holy Spirit.

4. CONVERSION: Faith and repentance, themselves gifts of God, are now experienced by the elect.

5. JUSTIFICATION: the forgiven sinner is declared righteous and justified in the eyes of God, freed from the penalty of sin by grace, through faith in Jesus Christ.

6. ADOPTION: The saint is adopted into the family of God, thereby becoming a child of God.

7. SANCTIFICATION: the regenerate child of God undergoes a purifying lifetime of change, becoming more and more conformed into the image of Christ.

8. PERSEVERENCE: The redeemed child of God can not/will not lose their salvation.

9. DEATH: the soul/spirit of the saint is seperated from the physical body and enters into the presence of the Lord.

10. GLORIFICATION: the saint's soul/spirit is reunited with their glorified body at the time of Christ's return.

Ephesians 1:4-5
According as he hath CHOSEN us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having PREDESTINATED us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will

Deuteronomy 7:6
For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath CHOSEN thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.

2 Thessalonians 2:13-14
But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning CHOSEN you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: Whereunto he CALLED you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Titus 1:1-2

1 Peter 2:9
But ye are a CHOSEN generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath CALLED you out of darkness into his marvellous light

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the CALLED according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did PREDESTINATE to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did PREDESTINATE, them he also CALLED: and whom he CALLED, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

John 15:16
Ye have not chosen me, but I have CHOSEN you, and ORDAINED you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
