NEWS... we're now on twitter, so follow us! twitter.com/gladscientists
You don't need an account to just check out the page and see what we're up to.

We're "The Glad Scientists." We started out filming experiments in our high school lab, but now we film mainly in our home lab (which will be renovated soon.) We do our experiments in a controlled environment, we stay extremely careful, and we have all the supplies we need to keep us safe.

We're willing to make a video in any field of chemistry, but the most enjoyable for us and the viewers, tends to be in the more original experiments. However, we tend to add something original to every video, even if it's a popular experiment.

We have many ideas for experiments, and we're always thinking up new ideas. However, our most important resource is our viewers, so don't hesitate to leave a comment about an idea you might want to see turned into a video.

Possible new videos:
-Iron in pure oxygen
-Extracting iodine crystals
-Thermites
-Chemical chameleon
-Oxidation
Country:
United States
Music:
Jazz

Iodine clock question and response regarding your question about purification of iodine. I see you know NurdRage he has a great video on this subject.

@mewrox99 I was thinking the same thing, but maybe some test out permanganates and nitrates as well

I would really love to see a video on some off the lesser used oxidizers.

Try doing some sugar burn reactions with these oxidizers.

Calcium Hypochlorite
Sodium or Potassium Dichromate

please make a new video.

Hey subscribers... sorry for the inactivity. If you want to see an iodine clock reaction, tell me... I have the footage. I'm trying to find a way to dessicate such a large amount of crystalline iodine, but haven't succeeded so far. But if you want to see the reaction and then want me to have another video (later on) of the dessication part, please comment on the channel! Thanks!
