I live in KS and we are a Right to Work state and thank God that we are. I want to have a free choice on where I work. I also think that it is wrong to tell a company. like GM, that they have to pay the workers $74 an hour, with benefits, when the can't afford to pay that much. That is why companies like GM are moving to China, Mexico and Canada. And if the Unions are so great then what happened to Detroit? The city of Detroit just close 1/2 of their schools because the can not meet the demands of the Unions. Is that American? Is it American that part of my paycheck goes to some Union guy that wants to keep all of his benefits so he steals my money?

From my understanding, if Ohio becomes a "Right to Work" state, my husbands wages will be cut in half, we will lose the health care benefits that we have and probably lose our house since his wages will not be enough to pay all the bills. Is this correct? I am trying to get the facts.

@ultravert: so called 'private' sector aka the REAL workers in America know that to get paid FAIRLY. you work. Plain and simple. Unions forcing people to pay them to HAVE a job? extortion IMO and I do much better without them. All 4 unions I was 'forced' to join as a term of employment with a PRIVATE company lost the very jobs they TOOK $ for. And the average pay between all 4 was only $10 a hour. McDonalds pays more numnutz.
