The web site www.kinkspace.com is owned by Merzbau Ltd, which was founded in order to explore possibilities for internet based networking. Founded in our belief that at the core of mankind, exists an overriding foundation of choice and commitment levitating to the natural rights of mankind, born out of faith in ourselves and humanity. The right to freedom of thought, freedom of expression and freedom to be; framed firmly in self and collective responsibility. In other words, do unto others as you would have done to you and yours. The internet is a unique and relatively new medium, for the first time since mankinds social evolution began, the internet presents us with the opportunity to explore a new social order of liberty, one based in self responsibility. We see the opportunity for an active world wide, borderless community, that will open minds and hearts. One that can bring us closer together as mankind regardless of distance, age, wealth or opinion that may otherwise separate us. Here online we are all equal, each idea and opinion as valid as the next, a true classless forum of interaction that has no basis in the day to day incidentals that form prejudice. We believe uncensored communication born out of responsibility and tolerance can and will only serve to create a better world. Communication is everything, whether the relationship intimate or institutional, if censored at best it breeds ignorance at worst it becomes a lie founded in fear due to ignorance, this in turn translates to intolerance and prejudice. KinkSpace.com the chosen first challenge of Merzbau, was born of a concept shared by a multitude of notable thinkers throughout history, a Socratic dialogue originated around the problematic issues of human sexuality, the conclusion repeatedly drawn; There can be no true human freedom without sexual freedom. The multitude of variations in human sexuality is something which will otherwise constantly cloud communication and create unwanted tension in a multitude of situations, professionally as well as privately. The concept of human sexuality is an explosive source of anarchic energy, riddled with paradoxes, by and large considered too dirty to ever be a serious object for a business venture, apart from the explorative world of pornography; least a means to debate of social, political and economic evolution. Never the less, sexuality is something which is close at heart for all adult men and women in this world, and for the majority, unless an individual has an exciting and fulfilling sex life, the same individual will become less healthy, less effective and less productive in all other areas of life. This is recognised in many cultures around the world, but most western civilisations have not only ignored but suppressed and indeed even supported subjugation of what we believe is a common sense approach. Indeed everyone is aware of sexuality, their own and others, however in all too many cases awareness is considered a social and political crime. Even if it is considered an uncomfortable subject of discourse by many who never speak openly on the subject without feeling guilty or suppression weighing upon them, it is no ones right to control those who will speak openly, debate, learn and inform. KinkSpace is not about preaching, teaching or endorsing one way or another, it is designed to bring people together, stimulate debate, to make people think, to open minds to possibilities, and if we can break down a few preconceived prejudices on the journey all the better. We are for those with a curious questioning mind, a mind that has a desire to learn and explore, wanting to reach out.

Its been almost a year since the embryonic KinkSpace first went live. During this time we have focused on testing and weeding out bugs, but we have hardly done any marketing. In spite of this, we are pleased to see that our membership numbers have grown considerably simply by word of mouth. We are now ready to implement a technological milestone to facilitate trade opportunities for our paying members. This will take the form of "shopping carts" that will be available on paying members profiles, and these can be linked to their personal PayPal account. We hope this will contribute to a more level playing field for small cottage industry to compete in the marketplace. We will not be making any further charges beyond the standard membership fees - and we will in no way, shape or form be responsible for the products the individual members chose to market through their personal membership. (We will, however, consider issuing penalties if we recieve complaints about poduct quality or failure to make delivery as promised.) Holding with the ethos of KinkSpace, we expect members to be knowledgeable, responsible and respectful of local and international laws, not simply their own local laws but local consumer, import and export laws world wide. This facility should be available within a month or so (out technicians are working on it). In addition, we will be making changes to the existing membership categories to simplify the registration routine. All existing personal members will be upgraded to premium membership (as the personal membership will become obsolete), at no extra charge.
