Actually it isn't "my thoery" It's Oceanagraphy 101 concerning sea Curents bringing up the warm water from the tropics to limit the Range of the Polar ICe from the poles facing deep space
If there is no currents of warm water to push back the Expanding Polar Ice a Ice Age happens
In the Summer when there is more fast moving hot water to drive the Ice back
In the winter the cooler sea currents slow and the POlar Ice regrows
