Thiruvannamalai Food Feeding Program 2011 on Chitra Poornima, 17th April
Chitra Poornima is the name of the Full Moon which falls in the Tamil month of Chitra. This occurs when the Sun is in its exalted state of Aries (close to the Earth) and Moon is full and aligned with the bright star called Chitra in the constellation of Libra.
Chitra Poornima is also considered to be the birthday of Chitra Gupta, the karmic accountant of all the soul's doings and misdoings in life. He is considered to be the Karmic Accountant or the Divine Judge who tallies the good and bad deeds of every being and reports to Lord Yama in order to punish or reward them after their death.
Donation is considered to be the supreme remedy. It pleases the suffering and needy people and gets their blessings in return. Donations of any type like clothes, food, books, money , or anything that would serve a purpose for a suffering heart is considered great to become a purified soul.
AstroVed has conducted Thiruvannamalai Food Feeding Program 2011 on April 17th Chitra Poornima.The team prepared sweet pongal, curd rice and mixed vegetable rice and fed above 4500 devotees. The food feeding started at 6.15 pm and continued till 10.30 pm in the night. The food feeding program was graced by a pooja by the priests.

Is Computer-Generated Astrological Reading reliable as readings from human live reader? There is a misconception people think that the Computer-Generated Reading is not as valid as the readings from a human astrologer. It is wrong to say that the Computer-Generated Reading is not going to be accurate. Ever since I have started AstroVed, I have looked into this problem. But in my opinion, the Computer-Generated Reading is far more reliable than most human astrologers. Not that I am putting down the ability of human astrologers, live astrologers. But I want to look at what really goes into the reading part and both of them, the human astrologer versus computer are dealing with data, how they are able to analyze the data and present the reading.
As far as Vedic astrology is concerned, it is a science. The Supreme Court of India has upheld it in the parliament of India has upheld that it is a science. University Grants Commission is now giving grants to colleges and universities to start Vedic astrology departments. I myself have invested in working on the project to develop a Vedic astrological university that is going to study astrology as a science. So speaking from that perspective, I am confident to present to you my finding; the finding is, the Computer-Generated Readings are better than human readings. However, I must exercise a caution here that not that all Computer-Generated Reading are uniformly better, in the same way not that all the human live readers are bad, there are extremely good astrologers and computers are not as good as they are. But then such astrologers are very very rare and they are pricey or expensive to ordinary people to approach. But for all practical purposes, if we view for instance, AsroVed's Computer-Generated Predictions with any other predictions, you will find that the AstroVed's is better because, we have used a lot of data and compared them before we put put them into the proper format to give a reading.
So, our logic is better. Our logic is not only better, but it is more involved and from my own random checking of the reading from AstroVed's Computer-Generated Readings, I have found that they are 80 percent correct reading. So, our logic here is superior and I hope that people who have some knowledge of computer will know, what do I mean by saying that this Computer-Generated Reading versus the human reading and what is the value of it. You can test for yourself. And so, it is certainly a misconception to put down the Computer-Generated Reading as something very mechanical and not truthful. It is a science and I am very happy that we have developed this program, so that we can make it available to the mass. One of those AstroVed's goal is to make astrology very inexpensive so that you can know your own predictions. You don't have to go to an astrologer; you can get all the readings just through logging in and checking out. I am going to do more innovations in that and I am very excited in developing such precise readings for the masses.

Welcome to this Raksha Plate Pooja. Now what you are witnessing on the screen is the Raksha plate energization process, which is a very divine process which is being done on a day-to-day basis in the AstroVed Nadi Department. You can see now the Raksha Plates with all its information kept on the two copper plates which is kept in front of this special Brahmin priest. The list you are seeing right now is the list of people who have ordered for the Raksha Plate Pooja on this specified dates along with the names, birth star and also the mantra. So the special Brahmin priest would be chanting mantra for all these respective clients who have ordered for this Raksha Plate Pooja.
Now, the Brahmin priest is taking the first Raksha Plate and he is opening it, which has been kept in a special cover and now he is going to wash that Raksha Plate in the rose water to purify it. He is washing both sides of the Raksha Plate and once, it gets purified he is now applying sandal paste and Kum-Kum on that and he is going to offer some flowers and he is keeping it in front of his table to start the energization process now he is removing his Tulsi mala which has got 108 beads on that.
Now he is reading the name of the client, the birth star and the moon sign and also the mantra. Now he has read out the details of the Raksha Plate of that particular native, now he is chanting the mantra which has been prescribed for that native in his 14th chapter which he would be chanting 108 times everyday consecutively for the number of days what is mentioned in the Diksha Chapter. So, this entire process is a divine process in which the client would be more benefited to get rid of all the negatives around her/his and will be able to live a very positive and hassle free life.
