Live "Maratonrock" from Germany and recorded in Sweden 1983. That's Divx, as the upload recommendation says.
The concerts took place in Westfalen Halle in Dortmund west Germany 14/5-83 and were introduced in swedish TV 30/7-83. The order of bands: Nena, Men at Work, The Tubes, Ultravox, Little River Band, Robert Palmer and B-52's. It was more maratonrock 1983 in swedish TV: 29/1-83 and 16/4-83.
Midge Ure - Vocals, Keyboards, Guitar
Chris Cross - Bass
Billy Currie - Keyboards, Violine
Warren Cann - Drums
Colin King and Danny Mitchell (from "Messengers") on backing vocals.
The voice, in my opinion one of the best new romantic/goth influenced/ electro punk creation. This live performance was longed for a lot of Ultravoxfan in Europe or the whole world (and me). But it sounds a little strange here. I think someone forgets to switch on the reverb-unit for the background (voice) sound (singed by the Messengers) and the piano seems to be too loud. Then also the bass is too low. Otherwise the performance is very good. Do you get right fever dreams feeling?
