November 14, 2011: 1,000,000 km long solar filament erupts at northern-eastern region of our sun.
November 13-14, 2011 -- The large filament appeared to be oscillating above our sun's north-eastern hemisphere for many hours, eventually leading to partial filament decay as a portion of the filament mass disconnected and ejected into space and collapsed back toward the stellar surface.
Northern latitude regions of the enormous filament were most noticeably affected.
Non Earth-directed plasma cloud.
Solar Dynamics Observatory footage in this video ranges from approximately November 13th @ 1530 UT to November 14th @ 1800 UT. Data has been highly compressed. Imagine it in slower motion over this time period.
