"Hey! Over here!"

Snake turned to see a tired, middle aged man beckoning him over. The man was accomapnied by a little girl who was timidly taking cover behind his legs. Snake acknowledged them both with a smile and made his way toward them.

"Wow, you're even more handsome than your photo!"

They both laughed. The tired expression of the man masqueraded a light hearted jokester. Snake was relieved by the informalness of the greeting.

"Well my name's Ryatoro Dojima and I'm your mother's younger brother. And this here is Nanako. Say hi Nanako."

Dojima gently urged his daughter forward in front of him. She greeted Snake with her eyes fixed to the floor before retreating behind her father, he laughed at seeing her timid side. Nanako responded with a not-so-timid slap on his behind.

"Hahaha, well anyway my car's this way! We'll grab some gas before he set off so feel free to take a look around your new home!"

"new home" Snake thought. He cast his eyes around the quiet street. It was peaceful but also ghostly. He was used to the hectic and loud every day life of the city and even though he always wished to experience life in the country he never thought it'd be so quiet. instead of cars and massive buildings polluting the area, the street was humbly filled with a couple of local stores. the sound of birds filled the air and the sound of a man hammering metal from with in one of the stores. it felt like everyone knew everyone here and Snake took comfort in that thought. A small town where everyone knows each other is surely better than a bit city where everyone is a stranger. He took one last look at the street and smiled before heading back to his new family to begin life in Inaba.
