A wonderful Thursday evening @ The Infamous Metropol
16oo Smallman Street in the heart of the stript district October 27th 1994
I was in HEAVEN & estatic that night to be the chief lighting guru for Pittsburgh's own... Lady Kier, hailing from Regent Square to grace my stage with her gang DJ Dmitry and DJ On-e to form Dee Lite.
It was a sold out dance party close to 1,5oo people dressed as love children, ravers, flowers, it was such a deelight to SEE.
I had much time to prepare for this show...adding many lighting FX to the stage that weren't normally there... including oil projectors, lightening bolt effects and gobos, strobes, and video projections, I even had some subliminal FX's going on...that many were not aware of?! hehehe
This was one of my first ALL~OUT Disco~House Dance~Parties that I ever went to such exspense and detail for. Is this where it all started for me, not sure... but it was a great show to put on, and people talked about it for a long time.
I was so glad to be a part of it. I even did it again for them later on.
This song was brilliant with all the choreography going on...so much N~R~G! Show less

The Beer Barrel Saloon in Put~In~Bay, on South Bass Island in the middle of the great Lake Erie...home to the world's longest bar, Is where I work, 7 months out of the year. I get to work with many talented performers and groups from all over the country and the Ohio region, including Canada's own duo "Toast & Jam". I keep pretty busy doing the lights and camera work for the live entertainment/bar/venue. It is really neat to see videos from other people posted on YouTube of some of my light shows, and/or camera work, since I also manage the video camera in the venue for either of the 3 large video screens. I have been working with so many talented bands such as Tennessee's Mustang Sally, The Menus from Cincinnati are great friends as well as The Max from Hot Atlanta Georgia, Or The Bomb Squad from Windsor Cananda the finest for MotoTown and The Nostalgia Band from Fort Wayne Indiana are all great bands I get the pleasure of working with. The Nortorious Kenny Kidd hailing from Arkansas is always a high octane show not to be missed. Wally & The Beaves are an Incredible Tradition to Experience as well as The Lo Cash Cowboys always setting the ladies off... The very talented 7th Heaven from Chicago is another show not to be missed. So many bands to name, to remember... Ohio's Venyx band will definitely get you dancing. The Beer Barrel has a high level of degree for recruiting talent & scheduling the musicians that has been a long tradition in the making. Thank You to ALL & EVERYONE for the memories! ♩ ♪ ♫ ♬ ♪ =¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  • Metropol Play all

The Infamous Metropol had many many acts, shows and dance nights that I wish I had taped them All over my 15 years of employment there. It was The Metropol from 1988 to 2005 more or less to me...seeing as how I helped rebuild it as The EMPIRE and The World next door...now both totally defunct, dead and buried.
The property has been reborn into Club Zoo & PRIVI [Privilege?] then transformed reborn into STATIC & XTAZA Nightclub. Not sure since I moved to Ohio now. It will always be The Metropol to Me as well as to others.
~ Long Live it's memory! Because that is all it is now.. 'Only A Memory' I use to play that song there on Panic Bar nights..hehehe.
Well, just trying to get a collection of archived footage together here from the 'days of swine and roses'. All input is welcome.

    Thank you for stopping by.
