The NSPCC can never hope to end cruelty to children by itself. We set out to involve everybody and often work in partnership because child abuse is an issue that must be tackled by society as a whole. To influence attitudes and behaviour towards children, we run mass public awareness and education campaigns, using TV advertising other media.
The NSPCC runs a helpline for adults on 0808 800 5000 and ChildLine for children and young people on 0800 1111. They are free to call, open 24/7 and can also be contacted online.
Adults can talk to our trained helpline counsellors if they are worried about a child or need advice. ChildLine is a listening service for children and young people who need to talk, whatever their worry.
