Come with me on a tour of my (definitely not haunted) Japanese apartment!
In this video, I talk about moving to Japan (specifically Akita, which is a prefecture in Japan), getting used to the summer in Japan, and also learning Japanese. It's tough to learn kanji, hiragana, and katakana, but living in Japan and living in a Japanese apartment has definitely helped me remember kanji better.
I'm lucky to be on the Jet program (which is how I ended up in Japan in the first place), but my placement in Akita - and in this apartment - has left me wondering if I'm really the only thing living in this apartment. It seems as though creepy, spooky things keep happening in this Japanese apartment building...
I also talk about shoji doors, tatami mats, sleeping on a futon, and a little bit about Japanese culture.
