Here is the video and audio track I sent to Cyrus for the recent iGenesis Stagnation video. As you will hear, the drums are far more 'up-front' than in the finished iGenesis video, and so you get the chance to see and hear all the detail that I crammed into this short section :-)
The backing track is from a live Genesis performance - I can't recall which one as I sit here in my office typing this!
I have tried very hard to reproduce what Phil Collins appears to be doing on the live recording. However, bear in mind that it is really hard to hear the drums in the original live recording! It was a very busy Phil part, and it took me an age to work this out.
I will admit that some of the fills at the end are NOT what Phil did. Er, I actually spiced 'em up a little, as I felt that the song deserved it :-)
Hope you enjoy. I will post up the other parts too in the coming days - but this is the most 'drummy'!!!
Watch for the snow falling off the roof about halfway through!
