The Islamic Education and Research Academy (iERA) is a UK-based charity dedicated to providing a better understanding of Islam in order to create a more peaceful and harmonious society.
Your continued support will allow us to focus on educating our society about common values and explaining the noble message of Islam in order to facilitate greater community cohesion.
We also regularly roll out educational and value based campaigns, like ‘Against Racism, Against Hatred’ and ‘What’s Your Goal?’ which support our work and help in our aim to remove common misconceptions about Islam. This helps to reduce unnecessary tensions that often arise between communities due to a lack of understanding.
The tremendous amount of community work that iERA embraces as part of its core ethos is evident. All of our staff and volunteers are involved in a range of outreach efforts including tackling homelessness, support for anti-domestic violence campaign groups, and many other community cohesion activities. We actively encourage both Muslims and non-Muslims to do the same.
An Islamic Research Academy
As an academy, we support our work through research-led initiatives which are developed as projects or ‘models’. For this reason, iERA has a dedicated research department; the first of its kind for a European Muslim organisation. These projects have already made a big impression in the community including Mission Dawah, Muslim Now, One Reason and One Community.
In addition to this, we have full time subject matter experts who deliver lectures, seminars and training courses on a vast range of Islamic, philosophical and social subjects. We also support Muslim organisations across the UK by providing material and literature for them to order, download and produce themselves.
