During the extreme early morning hours of June 4th (around 2AM), the Track 2 & 4 side of Metro North Railroad's Park Avenue Railroad Bridge was raised and lowered several times to test new cables and electrical components that were recently installed. Since work began on the bridge late last year, it has been locked in the down position.
The Park Avenue Railroad Bridge is a steel vertical lift bridge that carries all three Metro North lines ( about 700 trains a day) across the Harlem River between the boroughs of Manhattan and the Bronx in New York City. (Taken 6/4/15)
