Ronnie Lane and Slim Chance - A few for the road.
A few of my favourite clips of the great Ronnie Lane. The corner pin of Small Faces, and the anchor man of, Faces. A musician who had the ability to bring out the best in other musicians, a rare gift in my opinion. People have said to me that Ronnie could be considered the English version of Bob Dylan, I don't think that is too far from the truth. I had the honour to buy the man a pint during a gig at the Mr, George Club, Coventry in 1975, or was it '76. That gig, that man and that pint are amongst some of my most treasured memories. Many thanks to the people who uploaded and shared these precious clips. RIP Ronnie me ol' mucka', you will always be missed by this world.This item has been hidden -
Faces, 5 Guys at work. Live
A few clips of the Faces at the BBC Theartre 1971, to get a real feel for these guys, I highly recommend that YOU CRANK IT UP!!! This was the band performing at its best, before Lane split in 73 and Stewart could still use his voice. There are clips on Youtube after Lane left, but somehow, these have something missing for me. I attended the last three live performances in the UK at Kilburn in 74, on the front row, but you won't find them here. Also for your pleasure are a few album tracks.
