NOTE: Video starts no more than 15 seconds after 5 shots were fired. I started recording after hearing the screeching tires.

On 8/16/2014 I happened to be scarily close to the shooting at 3rd and Ash. I was out celebrating a birthday with friends and a few of us decided to leave the bar and get pizza from the walk up window at Lonesome’s Pizza (3rd and Burnside). My friend was served her pizza and we walked towards 3rd and Ankeny. As we were walking we heard 4 or 5 loud pops. I ducked down and then immediately started recording video with my iPhone.

Moments after the shots were fired we heard yelling and loud screeching tires. I believe the screeching came from a black SUV that was leaving the area at a high rate of speed. It’s hard to say with confidence what kind of vehicle it was. When I turned to look in the direction of the screeching we were a block and a half away. I only saw the back of vehicle, but I think it was a black Suburban. I recall hearing a police officer in the distance yell “It’s a Black SUV!”. You can hear this faintly in the video. Show less
