Enjoy the terrific view of the long Red Snaking python Train, a mind blowing visual.This is one of the most deadliest Track alignments I have ever witnessed in Broad Gauge. The reason behind such a crazy alignment is due to the hilly terrain. This line was originally a Meter gauge alignment which was simply converted to Broad Gauge with out making much changes in the alignment hence resulting in such drastic deviation and turns.

The line is presently Single - Diesel and is sanctioned for simultaneous Doubling and Electrification. The line branches at Kalluru Junction and merges at Guntakal Junction, an alternate line to Guntakal from Kalluru while the other line goes via Gooty which is a Single Electrified line.

This line was initially a part of the vast MG network connecting :
1. Guntakal-Dharmavaram - Bangalore - Mysore - Chamarajanagar.
2. Guntakal- Kacheguda - Purana- Akola- Indore-Jaipur.
3. Dharmavaram - Pakala - Chitoor -Tirupati - Katpadi - Villupuram - Trichy- Madurai-Rameswaram.
4.Guntakal-Ballari-Hubli-Londa-Miraj- Vascodagama.

Train : 15015 / 15016 Gorakhpur - Yesvantpur - Gorakhpur Express.
Locomotive : KAZIPET WDG3A Twins.
Location : Venkatampalle, Andhra Pradesh.
Zone : South Central Railways, Guntakal Division.
