First off, I want it made clear that I cannot take full creative credit for how the song was altered. I first heard this song from this video and many of the changes made mimic it.

By the time I started editing this video I hadn't realized how much this version differed from the original song and had planned this video around Corsair's edit. Though I did make a few of my own changes, I just want to make sure this is known.

Secondly, I consider this video unfinished. The deadline for the contest forced me to cut some corners. I wanted it to be longer and I didn't want to use Green Screen Ponies. When I eventually make the full version I will fix this.

Now, about the video itself. I've never done a video like this before. Its title could easily have been "Silk Discovers Rotobrush." But that wouldn't have served what I was trying to communicate. One of the repeated lines in the song is "Nicotine from a Silver Screen" and by replacing Nicotine with Ponies I was illustrating their dangerously addictive nature. That is ultimately what this video is about: The darker side of the experience of being/becoming a brony.
