In the 80s, the Austrian Postbus and Bahnbus companies wanted to use standardised vehicles again. The requirements were given to Steyr and Gräf & Stift in 1981. The first prototypes were delivered in 1984, the mass production began in 1986 with the Gräf & Stift GSÜH 290 M12 (Gräf & Stift Überlandbus mit Heckmotor, 290 hp, 12 m long). This type was replaced by the GSÜH 270 M12 in 1991, which had a 270 hp, 5 cylinder engine. The 320 and 370 hp variants, known as GSÜH 320 M12 and GSÜH 370 M12 (which are not included in the download) came in 1994. Shorter, 10 m long versions were also produced for narrow and steep mountain roads. A facelift was introduced in 1995, which included a front from MAN F2000, a modernised back and a VöV dashboard. The production ended in 1997.
