In part one of the World's Greatest Survival Vest, you are shown how useful a survival vest can be. In part two, the use of a survival vest in a urban survival situation will be covered. In part three, we will compare a survival vest to a tactical vest.

A survival vest is part of a system. When implemented with key components on your belt, and in your pockets, the vest will provide you with all the tools you need in a survival situation - especially if you are separated from your backpack. A survival vest is about redundancy, having more than you need and following the philosophy that two is one, and one is none.

The World's Greatest Survival Vest is made by Allen, and s a tough vest with multiple pockets and compartments. It holds plenty of gear. It is made well out of a material that does not sag and can handle a heavy load. I overloaded the vest with tons of survival gear for illustration purposes. The gear you see is not exactly what I might carry. In part two, I have a different load out.

The survival vest (Allen Big Horn fishing vest) can also be utilized with a day pack or a full size backpack or military ruck. The vest rides high and does not interfere with the waist best on a pack.
