On April 12, 1989 American Chemical Society (ACS) President Clayton Callis hosted a special Presidents Event "Nuclear Fusion in a Test Tube" at the 197th Annual Meeting of the ACS in Dallas, Texas. Valerie Kuck of AT&T Bell Laboratories organized the Symposium and was MC for the event. The panel included: Harold P. Furth, Director of Princeton University's Plasma Physics Lab Allen Bard, University of Texas Ernest Yeager, Case Western Reserve U. Stanley Pons, University of Utah K. Birgitta Whaley, University of California - Berkley
Dr. Eugene Mallove presented a talk titled, "A Random Walk into the Cold Fusion/New Energy Era," at the 3rd International Symposium on New Energy (ISNE) in April 1996.
At the October 1999 Pacific conference of the American Chemical Society, Martin Fleischmann presented "Cold Fusion: Past, Present and Future" during the cold fusion session.
