A lot of retro computer games which are well-known on the PC actually had versions available on the Apple IIgs which were vastly superior (usually in terms of graphics or sound, or both) on the Apple IIgs. After all, the "gs" stood for "graphics" and "sound."

Of course, there were also a handful of great games that were only available on the IIgs, and no other platform. I'll try to highlight some of my favorite IIgs games here.
