"Those who can, do. Those who can do more, volunteer." - Author Unknown
In 2016, 7,480 people volunteered with the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife. These volunteers contributed 178,943 hours which equals just over $5 million dollars in Federal Matching Funds. Volunteers help on a variety of projects such as replacing guzzlers for wildlife, removing invasive plants & planting native species, assisting with deer census surveys, transporting and collecting biological samples, RV hosts, conducting education classes & workshops, fin clipping, clerical duties, restoring & protecting stream riparian habitat, and collecting broodstock.
With the help of our volunteers, ODFW continues to protect and enhance Oregon’s fish & wildlife and their habitats.
To all who volunteer for ODFW, Thank you
