A huge thank you to Kuroji (https://twitter.com/k_kuroji) for doing the video. He's done an absolutely amazing job and I couldn't be more grateful. I'm blown away by the attention to detail, ranging from the sword dancing to the ainu motifs. It's absolutely brilliant.

This is my second attempt at a cover using the long-awaited VOCALOID4 update to Iroha. I remember mailing AHSoft back in 2011 or 2012 about the possibility of seeing a VOCALOID3 update to her, so imagine my excitement when they announced her V4 update last year! I'm still working on a video for my first attempt at working Iroha V4.

Rera is an ainu word and translates as Wind. "An kamu iru peka rera ikesampa" more or less translates as "I chase the wind through the path where the Gods passed through."

When working on this track I took inspiration from Iroha's voice provider, Kyounosuke. When he sings he uses a lot of heavy and powerful vibratos coupled with sudden shifts in pitch which makes for a very dynamic melody. I also drew some inspiration from Kaoling who often uses heavy GEN parameter edits and sudden pitch shifts, and I think the combination of the two really worked. Iroha's voice handles heavy vibratos and GEN edits really well, much more so than many other libraries out there.

I also incorporated the GWL and XSY parameters as best I could. Ever since the announcement I really looked forward to using Iroha with the GWL parameter. It works well on the lower notes, but it sounds weird on her high falsetto register.

The original song was written and composed by だいすけP (DaisukeP). He did an absolutely marvellous job with Iroha as well, and I highly recommend that you check it out.

Thank you for reading this massive description, I hope you'll enjoy the song! Show less
