    Good day, today I'll be showing you a simple, step-by-step tutorial on how to softmod your Wii.

    Part 1 covers the installation of IOS236, which will serve as the IOS to use for the installation of cIOS d2x and Hermes' IOS 222/223.

    l==== ABOUT IOS236 ====l

    IOS236 is a patched version of IOS36 that makes installation of other IOSes easy, even if the other IOS slots are filled by stubs already

    l==== WHAT YOU NEED FIRST ====l

    • An SD or SDHC Card
    • Wii Remote or Gamecube Controller
    • Homebrew Channel v 1.0.7 or later
    • Brick Protection [Optional but Highly Recommended]
    ---- Either bootmii installed as boot2 OR priiloader with bootmii installed as an IOS
    ---- Make sure you create a Wii NAND Backup before attempting this tutorial if you want to be safe!
