Video of Hurricane Sandy - Taken from the Florida Coast - Jetty Park - Fort Pierce Florida

Over in the Fort Pierce area, there was not much wind until we crossed the bridge to Hutchinson Island south to Jetty Park. The wind picked up a lot. We walked out to the beach and it was not raining much. There were high gusts of wind and pelting sand that stung. There were lots of people looking at the storm and high surf. One guy was fishing out on the Jetty. The police tried to get his attention but they finally strung tape across so no one else would go out. The water was over lapping the jetty and could have easily swept a person into the water. It was later that the local news reported hurricane conditions along the coast of Florida.
