1969 has to be the most remarkable year ever, because it featured so many of the most famous people in music history, (Elvis, The Beatles, Michael Jackson, etc.) and sports history, (Joe Namath, Willie Mays, Richard Petty, Muhammad Ali, etc.) movie history, (John Wayne, Paul Newman, Jack Nicholson, Dustin Hoffman, etc.) and then-current episodes of classic television, (Star Trek, Bewitched, Get Smart, Green Acres, Beverly Hillbillies, Mission Impossible, Hawaii Five-O, The Wild, Wild West, etc.) famous music festivals and events,(Woodstock, Altamont, Vietnam War and the protests against it) technological achievements,(first flights of both the Boeing 747 airliner, and the sound barrier-breaking Super Sonic Transport, or SST airliner, the NASA lunar landing, etc) and classic automobiles, (`69 Chevelle SS 396,`69 Dodge Charger, `69 Corvette Stingray, etc) and it was the year that introduced the world to the Jackson 5, Led Zeppelin, Monty Python, the Nerf Ball, Scooby Doo, the Brady Bunch, Creedence Clearwater Revival, and Sesame Street, etc. When you add it all up ....Amazing.
