I am the biological mother of Bella. Her father, 22 year old Shawn Burnett, was her abuser. I had taken Bella to the emergency room 2 times in less than 2 weeks because she was acting sick and throwing up, and she was diagnosed with Thrush and Reflux. It was during the 3rd trip to the emergency room that the doctors found all of her injuries. Due to the fact that I didn't have a job, a car, a stable address, my aunt adopted her. I had to do what was right for my child. It was by far the hardest thing I have ever had to do. But, keeping her just because I wanted her, was selfish. Especially since I didn't have the financial means to do so, and I knew that my aunt would be able to give her the life she deserves. And, yes. I get to see her on a regular basis. Please keep all negative comments to yourself.

This is a story of love, determination, strength, faith, hope, and one brave little girl. Bella Grace.
