This is a project I am working on for all you out there who want to learn dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) skills, but do not either have health insurance, cash, or a DBT therapist in the area. I was fortunate enough to have gotten into a DBT program but I had to fight for 2 years before I was granted access. Therefore, I know how difficult it is to get into a DBT program and hope these videos will help my peers who similarly struggle.
After trying to unsuccessfully get community mental health agencies to be accountable to their clients, I realized, the best way I could help my peers was to teach my peers DBT skills myself. Every video I upload to YouTube is made with love and comes from years of dedicated practice as a DBT client and a social and behavioral sciences major. Therefore, you can learn DBT skills anytime you want 24/7 for FREE.
There are also handouts and worksheets available to go with the videos at box.com/dbt and I am working on putting together a digital workbook that includes a digital diary card and will go with the video series. When the videos and workbook are complete, I will be running a test peer DBT group through google hangouts. If you want to sign up to get on the wait list for the live group TBA, the form is here

I hope you enjoy the videos and find them useful. I have borderline personality disorder and I suffered emotional chaos for many years. DBT helped me calm the storm and after running away for long, I am on finally back on my home again, to me.
