Welcome to Sunnyside, the not-so-typical neighbourhood where anything can happen, and almost always does.

From hipsters and yoga moms to meth addicts and romantic crooks, Sunnyside is a quirky neighbourhood in transition, where residents aren’t always what they seem and surprises lurk around every slightly dingy corner. Book clubs and coffee shops are just steps away from speakeasies and an underground baby-fighting ring. Plus, this odd little world has just a touch of magic in it, including an occult store that can alter reality, a superhero shopping cart that comes to the rescue, and a mysterious manhole that can answer residents’ burning questions.

Life might have a dark side, but we never lose sight of the Sunnyside.

Sunnyside is a sketch-comedy series created by award winners Gary Pearson and Dan Redican and stars top Canadian comedic talent, including Kathleen Phillips and Pat Thornton.

Logline: A Martial Arts epic about a young woman who inherits her estranged father’s studio, and must uphold the family legacy in an underground competition.

Alex Cheng left behind the duties of tradition years ago, but after her father’s unexpected death, she unwillingly becomes the heir to his Martial Arts School. Now, Alex is faced with the titanic task of defending her family's legacy against the MMA Daggers; rivals out to the prove that traditional Kung Fu is an inferior pastime. Throughout the series Alex must face off against a rogue's gallery of Mixed Martial Artists and quickly master the Kung Fu principals that will be the key to defeating them.

Sudden Master, is a Martial Arts epic about tradition, vengeance and love. With stunt performers from Resident Evil, Pacific Rim, and Lost Girl and choreography by a world champion martial artist, Sudden Master is the actions series that will have audiences ready to get up and fight.
