  • How To Solder Wires Together.

In this video i demonstrate how to solder wires together. This method can be used for a vast array of soldering purposes. If you have any questions, please feel free to either send me a private message, or leave a comment. I will try to get back to it as soon as possible.

I apologize for how long it takes for the wire to begin accepting solder, but sometimes things don't go as smoothly as planned. This just shows that sometimes it will take some time for the wires to accept solder. Obviously the smaller the gauge wire, the longer it will take to heat up. (In case you don't know anything about wires, Smaller gauge = thicker wire, Higher gauge = thinner wire.) Most speaker wires and other wires are a lot smaller gauge, and will solder together in mere seconds.

Another tip i'd give to someone who was hooking up a stereo system is this; lets say you have 3 speakers. Each speaker is 10 feet apart from each other. When you need to wire the middle speaker, instead of just splicing the wire from the left speaker, to the wire from the right speaker, and then shoving the splice into the middle speaker, make your life easier. Get another piece of wire (like 2-4 feet) and splice that into the other two wires. This way, you will have a wire that is dedicated to the middle speaker. This will make your life heaps easier.

If you have any more technical questions, whether it be about connecting wires, or just other questions, feel free to ask. I might be able to help you out. Show less
