Can't get enough dinosaurs!? Check out these figures by Papo! That are loosely based off the Dinosaurs from Jurassic Park and other movies! Papo figures are some of the highest quality dinosaur toys on the market today. The amounts of detail they inject into each dino is breath taking. Truly some of these will one day be highly sought after collector pieces for JP fans & Dino Lovers alike. "Papo - bringing dinosaurs to life."
Ohh nostalgia ! Check out my reviews for the Jurassic Park Series 1 & 2 toys made by Kenner 1993-1994. Travel back to the early 1990s and witness what every kid was playing outside with recreating their favorite scenes from the Jurassic Park movie.
All reviews for The Lost World Jurassic Park Series 1 & 2 toys made by Kenner 1997-1998. It's pretty easy to see why this won awards for being one of the best selling toy-lines from *1997* !!! Most people aren't too fond of TLW movie but it was one of my favorites growing up right behind the first film. Ether way I was addicted too these toys like many other JP fans in the 90's. TWO boss Trex figures! The thrasher + bull and loads of other fun things, vehicle's like the MCC* Mobile Command Center & the hunter jeeps, even new and repainted dinosaurs from the early JPS1-2 lines + New Dino's like the Adult Pachy,Parasaurolophus and many others! Helped make this toy-line a cutt above the rest! Sadly TLW-S2 line was short lived and not many figures or dinosaurs where produced.
Reviews for the crazy line of JP - Chaos Effect Toys! The premise was that mad scientists merged various dino DNA resulting in "Genetically Mutated Dinos Gone Bad". This line features some repainted dinosaurs/humans/vehicles along with some pretty cool new/Interesting sculpts. This line is notorious for its crazy paint themes! These toys where also going to have a cartoon TV shows but sadly it never came. So now we are left with this crazy looking Aliens Cross/futuristicy line of Jurassic Park figures that most people will look at and raise an eyebrow because some of the funky bright colored mutant dino's haha. I always did enjoy these Chaos Effect toys tho, it was great fun an maybe they where just a little ahead of their time being from 1998 and all. I mean with Jurassic Worlds hybrid mutated dinosaur I-Rex and making new creatures in labs maybe people will look at these Chaos Effect toys and give them a second chance !
Based upon the JP3 movie released in 2001, this toy line strays away from the traditional "Kenner" feel and into more of what Hasbro does best. New hard plastic dinosaurs! Which they would repaint OVER & OVER & OVER! While I don't hate these figures in my opinion they just didn't have that same kickass feeling to them like the Kenner toys did. Alot of the Dinosaurs are in awkward poses and just strange which kind of takes away playability from them, + all of the dinosaurs are plagued with a dino-damage wound that cant be covered up, what was once a big selling point from the early JP lines *dino damage* was so you could tear your toys apart and piece them back together again. But all things considered Hasbro in 2001 didn't have much too work with, the JP3 movie not featuring many vehicles or things to turn into toy form. At the end of the day, Hasbro's crack at JP3 gave us an alright sub-par line of JP toys ! That is in no way shape or form terrible but actually kinda fun with a few redeeming factors & earns its place in the wide range of JP toys history!
All reviews that I've done for the very good quality line of Dinosaur toys by Chap Mei ! whether it being 'AKA' Animal Planet / Dino Valley / Dino Quest, or even Stone-age Dinosaurs. Do not underestimate Chap Mei toys by their somewhat inaccurate looking dinosaurs. They are actually pretty cool!! & great FUN! And slightly feel like a little lower budget version of Jurassic Park Figures, Because lets be honest here.....some of these toys look like they where ripped right out of Hasbro's JP-3 line. Chap Mei has been producing these dinosaur toys since 2001. back when the toy-line was simply named Dino-Quest. Over the years the toys have had many cool additions and sum nasty looking dinos. While sometimes hard to find in stores due to the fact these toys have been labeled under many different names. I always knew them as Dino-Quest / Dino Valley - but currently as of (2014-2015) i think Toys'r us along with animal planet have a deal with Chap Mei and have been selling Dino valley like themed sets under the soul name Animal Planet.
