Hey there! I made this video to help you guys out if you are starting to learn how to work with charcoal. I know it can be frustrating but if you give it some time and keep working at it, you can really have a lot of fun using it.
Today I am going to be discussing 5 different ways that can prevent your charcoal drawing from smearing or smudging. When people tell me that they have a problem with their charcoal smearing they may be asking a few different things.

1. How to prevent there charcoal from smearing after their drawing is completed
2. The drawing looks smudged and lacks definition
3. How to prevent your hand from smudging the charcoal while you are drawing

I cover these topics within my video and discuss the way that I go about using charcoal.
The tips I am suggesting may seem basic but often times it is the small things that go a long way to making a huge difference.
