Duke University's President Richard H. Brodhead interviews Dr. Robert Lefkowitz, a 2012 Nobel Prize in chemistry winner and Howard Hughes Medical Institute investigator who has spent his 39-year research career at the Duke University Medical Center.
The Duke Annual Fund is made up of thousands of operating gifts from Duke's loyal alumni, parents, students, faculty, staff, and friends. In 2012-13, gifts from more than 50,000 donors added a record $33.3 million in expendable operating support. These contributions benefit Duke students, paying for financial aid awards, computer and laboratory equipment, course development, student research projects, summer internship stipends, exhibitions in the museum, repairs in the chapel, and so much more.
