To all who think stealing cultures and monument's is your new mission trust me when i say this it will never be ,i have seen, heard and read most of you got to say and its all garbage, the Washitaw nation is a bunch of blacks attempting to steal native american culture, shame on you while the world is uniting you are still pissed about still not even having a mule, wake up get over your slave past and join the future .i have talk to elders and you know what they say about your efforts? nothing

About Me:
Yes, the Cherokee owned slaves. A lot of them.
The answer comes from the Cherokee themselves, dealing with the issue of this vote. In the 1860's around the time of the Civil War, the Cherokee were the proud owners of about 2,800 slaves.
In the aftermath of the war between the states, Oklahoma was primed to become a full member of the Union.
The Cherokee accepted, as the Blacks had been a part of their society for quite some time, and many of them had already intermarried with "real" tribe members.
Today, the Cherokee see how blacks continue to hopelessly continue to try and steal not only their culture but many others like olmecs, incas and many others. They see the Blacks the same as whites who stole the land.
The obvious issue is whether this is a racist act.
I say it because of the fact they also attack the latino/hispano American people. TO BE CONTINUED.....................
