As I was walking down the path to the owl habitat at 6:35 this morning, the male owl was hooting in a tree next to where we station our camera equipment. Shortly after I arrived and was setting up, he flew to his normal daily perch near the nest as you will get a glimpse of his fly-by in the video. As the four owlets wait for mom's return, the sunrise shines magnificently on them. It was one of the most touching moments in nature that I have ever experienced. It was just me and the owls and mother nature bestowing her magic. Shortly before the female returns to the owlets, you will see the cuties track her flight all in synch. I would never tire watching that clip over and over. The owlets are wide-eyed, watching, active and cute as ever until she finally flies into the nest at 7:25am.
