Éric Abidal was enjoying his best football season ever, when the news no one expected arrived. In March 2011 he was diagnosed with a liver tumor. However two months later Éric would lift the Champions League trophy at Wembley. It was a fairytale story not even Hollywood would have been able to write.

Éric was once again enjoying his football and scored his second ever goal for Barcelona against Real Madrid leading the team to a Copa del Rey final. But when the final came around Éric was back in the hospital bed, he had relapsed and needed a liver transplant, after that a even longer way back started and few thought he'd ever play football again. Last week however Éric was given the green light by FC Barcelonas club doctors.

It was impossible for me not to make a tribute video to this man who I admire the most in the world.. his story is extraordinary and the way he have inspired not only his teammates but the entire world is remarkable.
