All across Canada organizations like Can You Dig It work with neighborhoods on community projects to ensure individuals have a place they belong, food to eat and a safe place to grow. Now YOU can be part of that social change. By simply purchasing your seeds through the site or sponsoring a project you support community garden initiatives as well as projects in your local neighborhoods! If you share the project by clicking the promote button or purchase a town license you can join us in growing safer communities throughout Canada by raising funds for your own projects!
1000 gardeners in 26 food growing gardens!
Can You Dig It supports individuals with developmental disabilities and their communities to create and coordinate inclusive food growing gardens and give back 10% of their produce to people in need, building an even stronger sense of community engagement. Can You Dig It works with over a 1000 gardeners in 26 food growing gardens throughout the lower mainland. With your help, this year we are expanding to a minimum of 5 new gardens and 200 garden beds allowing an additional 400 gardeners to grow food for themselves and their community. Together, we can all plant a seed.
West Coast Seeds has come on board to ensure that YOUR community can experience this impact at the local level throughout Canada and encourages you to promote the project, order your seeds online and put the money to good use by building activities and programs in your community that support growth and inclusion. If you are a local garden, sports team, school, environmental group, club or simply people who want to make a difference now is your chance!
