Morning and night shots with the G1W high definition car DVR

553 views 2 months ago
The low light performance of the car DVR G1W is very good. Just enable that "WDR" or wide dynamic range setting by pressing power button on top of camera, then press mode button to go into video shooting mode (upper left show video camera icon), then press pause button next to power button on top go into settings. Scroll down with left down arrow to WDR, click enter by pressing enter button (rec button on right) and scroll down to select on. Press enter again and you are done. Now go back to the mode you want by pressing the mode button. You can further enhance that capability by increasing your exposure compensation by increments, again done in settings of video capturing function. There is IR night vision but the range is limited by the power of the led.
Update: I have discovered an issue with this camera. In very cold weather 32 degree F and under, sometimes the camera turns on and freezes. When the interior temperature warms up, the camera returns to normal. Don't know if this is only with my camera or if others have the same problem.

Got myself a new toy from USAwindgen. Hopefully, it'll generate a little power. They were really quick in shipping. The 125w windmill uses a small geared DC motor so it needs strong wind to output ...

I've been toying with the idea of using a roof vent as a turbine for wind energy. The trick is to tie it in with a suitable motor. Maybe some genius out there can make it work.

I made a 13 w panel using the broken chips from my homemade 60 w panel. It seems a shame to throw away the broken cells.

This experimental dual rotor, dual stator vawt is working well. One viewer suggested that I add a metal plate to the bottom of the lower stator to increase the output. I can install a metal plate (...

I was experimenting with my new axial flux stator with my windmills to see how well it works. The new 6 coil stator with 20 gauge wire did not work too well in my hawt. It was short of a few volts....
