For the past 5 years, Studio 8 & The New Movement have been tirelessly working to put New Orleans & Austin on the comedy map. We've got a big, beautiful theater in downtown Austin, and now it's time to upgrade our theater and production facilities in New Orleans to match it.

But we're a small business with no investors or rich relatives, so like always, we're raising every penny ourselves to make this happen. And we're willing to make a spectacle of our struggle. So this Kickstarter campaign is a fun way for you to be a part of something that's never been done before.

TNM's co-owners, Chris & Tami, have agreed to perform their weekly 2-person show FOR FREE UNTIL THEY DIE if we reach our $50,000 goal. Free comedy forever. We did the math, and if they live another 50 years, they'll be giving away well over $1 million dollars' worth of shows in their lifetimes.
