In this free online course you will join archaeological researchers from the humanities and sciences studying the Roman harbour city of Portus. You will chart a journey from the Imperial harbour to its connections across the Mediterranean, learning about archaeological discoveries and the many ways in which we use them to understand the history, landscape, buildings, and the people of this unique place. Largely filmed on location in Italy, the free course will also provide you with an insight into the wide range of digital technologies employed to record, analyse and present the site.
