At the moment in Queensland we are in Spring, which means it is very hot and very dry.
Schooling in Australia is different in every state. In Queensland Secondary schools start on the 27th of January each year and they end around mid December. As for primary schools i am unsure when they start and finish as i left primary school a long time ago.
I am unsure what you mean by "Poles", if you could explain it more i will try to answer it, sorry.
