Heres a little info about me: Im a 35 year old disabled woman. I am happily married and have one child. My disability is spinal cord injury which resulted from a nasty car accident in 1994. I was 20. The accident left me paralyzed, but did not break my spirit.
My level of injury is t-7that means my line of paralysis begins about two inches below my breasts. Movement below my line is miniscule at best. I can move my tummy a bit, but nothing else. Sensation has varied a lot over the years. Initially I felt nothing but a tingly sensation. It resembles what it feels like when your foot falls asleep (like pins and needles), but magnified substantially. After the end of the first year, sensation began to slowly return.
I was able to feel some types of pressure. Unfortunately, I have never been able to feel light touch or temperature changes.
