So here's the project that I've been working on for what seems like forever. I'll say that I can't think of much to say but most likely you'll see a big paragraph after this sentence.
I remember playing the first Kingdom Hearts back in 2002 & thought it was something magical & it still is. The feeling that always resinated with me after finishing the games is that I think so much more could have been done. I still enjoyed the experience I got with Kingdom Hearts however the experience wasn't one that made me speechless making me praise the game left & right with almost nothing bad to say about it. To me the Kingdom Hearts series has the potential to be a breakthrough experience. When executed in the right way it'll be an experience that hasn't been seen before & will leave people's jaws on the floor. For many Disney fans it will be a journey into their past to their childhood with nostalgic feelings flooding their bodies. The experiences with all of the Disney stories will be executed better than the originals. I think to myself "Why wouldn't we be getting something on par or better than the original experience in the movies these games are adapting?" Every part of this series should be like a movie experience where everything's on a grand scale. Throughout this video I think some may think of this entire series as something to just laugh at, it can't be taken seriously, & it'll only ever be thought of as having content that is kiddy & boring. That's one of the many things I'm focusing on changing. Imagine the concept of Kingdom Hearts being executed seriously with grittiness and darkness to it [not all the time but at times when it's needed]. There are times to be happy, funny, laid-back & there should be times when its serious. When a game, tv show, or movie is just focusing on kids as the target audience it will only be taken seriously by children but when a game, tv show, or movie is focusing on kids as well as adults it's an experience that can truly be enjoyed by all ages. That right there is the secret ingredient for a masterpiece with movies, tv shows, and games. A story that is tailored for everyone & a story that all ages can enjoy." It's those pieces of entertainment that will grow with us as we ourselves grow older. To me the recent Disney hasn't released too many movies that I feel will live up to the experience I got with old Disney movies like The Lion King. The new Disney has some serious sections to it but seems scared to create serious events/scenes with many things they release. The old Disney, that wasn't afraid to go serious, made movies that we now know of as masterpieces or classics. Those movies will stand the test of time & be nostalgic for many. When Walt made a movie or tv show back in the day he didn't want to make projects that were just for kids and no one else, he wanted to make projects that every person in a family could enjoy which includes the adults. When we bring that back, which is what seems to be lost in Disney right now, the experiences in whatever piece of entertainment you can think of will be much more relatable and realistic. If Disney wants a mainstream game it won't happen with a game that is tailored for just kids. For them to create a mainstream game the game, or games, need to be tailored for everyone.
To make this happen I can't do it alone. If any Kingdom Hearts fans out there are reading this and know deep down that this series is more than just a game and instead is an experience send a link of this video and your thoughts to Robert Iger whose information is in the video, at the top of this description & below this paragraph. If any Disney fans out there are reading this and want the old Disney back, you want a Disney that feels more real and relatable again send a link of this video & your thoughts to Robert Iger whose information is in the video, at the top of this description & below this paragraph. Tell Disney what they need & what type of experience you want. All of your words mean something. Make them hear your voice. In closing I want to thank everyone who watched this video, read this description, and sent Disney/Robert Iger your thoughts and hopefully together we can make something big happen! :D
