"evolution can not be proven"
I decided a while back that there is no use trying to reason with someone who denies basic realities. The existence of gods is debatable. Common ancestry of the species is not. If a person cannot accept hard evidence, why even have a conversation? You won't be appealing to the same reality.

That right there is a perfect statement of why I don't believe in such things anymore. Anything that will only be as real as you *believe* it to be exists only in your mind.
