My History-
Many thought that when Monk Afiko turned over the locations of the three Air Temples that the Nomads were wiped out. However some escaped and fled. A group of Air Nomads from the Northern Temple had heard early word of the Fire Nation's strike against the Southern and Eastern Temples. The Northern Temple fled to the far northern regions of the Northern Water Tribe to live in exile high up in the polar icecap mountains and wait out the war. My grandfather Monk Iwamu was one of these refugees who grew up hiding. It wasn't until he married and had my father Monk Daisuke that he would think about returning. One day, a group of Northern Water Tribe Benders came across the secluded retreat and told of how the war had ended in this recent summer. My father, now head monk and married to my mother, Sister Michiko set out with the other Airbenders to return to their temples and restore balance among the four elements. A couple of weeks after we had returned, my mother had me at the Eastern Air Temple. I grew up there in the winter with my mother and in the summer I would help my dad rebuild the Northern Air Temple and live cohesively with the Earth Kingdom Refugees who decided to stay with us after the war had ended. I recieved my Airbending tatoos at age 15 symbolizing the mastering of the element Air. At age 13 I was paired with my life long friend, Buntaro, my flying bison. Now, at age 19, I and Buntaro travel around the world, meeting new people and go on adventures with them. My name is Makoto Iwamatsu and I am an Airbender.
